Automation consultant for law firms on the Central Coast
Make the matter handoff clear before it becomes another inbox chase.
Telagent is a systems and automation consultancy for small and mid-sized law firms. We work with practice principals, partners, practice managers, and operations leads. Central Coast NSW is home base; Australia-wide remote delivery is available when that is the better way to build. After discovery, the work is a fixed project, then a retainer only if the firm wants ongoing care.
Telagent is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. We wire the operations around the practice-management, document, email, and billing tools the firm already uses. We do not make legal decisions, and we do not replace lawyers. This is not another practice SaaS login.
Request a discoveryWho this is for
The buyer is the practice principal, partner, or practice manager who can see fee-earner time going into intake, status chasing, missing documents, and handoffs that have to be explained twice. We are not here for a member of the public looking for representation.
- Central Coast NSW first, with Australia-wide remote delivery when the firm is not local
- Small law firms and focused practices that need practical systems around the practice-management, document, email, and billing tools they already run
- Firms that want a scoped implementation after a conversation, not a new platform to learn
If the stall is in an accounting or CA firm, see accounting and CA firms. If it is bookkeeping data or BAS, see bookkeeping and BAS practices. If it is lodgement-season admin around a return, see tax agent practices. Not for: legal advice, a consumer search for a lawyer, generic helpdesk support, or another practice SaaS login.
Problems we fix in law-firm operations
These are operational stalls inside the firm. We do not promise legal outcomes, and we do not invent matters or case numbers.
- Intake with no owner — a new matter arrives by form, email, and phone, and there is no consistent next step
- Re-keying — new-client and matter information typed again between intake, practice management, the document store, and billing
- Missing material — IDs, instructions, or signed documents that force a second round of follow-up
- Status and deadlines in the wrong place — follow-up living in inboxes and personal spreadsheets
- Handoffs that are not visible — between partners, solicitors, paralegals, and administration, with no shared view of who is holding the next step
- Tools that do not pass the job on — no clear status, owner, or exception for the next person
What we automate is administrative routing and reminders. We do not automate legal judgement, conflict checks as a legal decision, legal triage, or advice. Those stay with the firm’s lawyers. A practical first project is often matter intake automation for small law firms: one path in, one owner, and a reminder only when a document is actually missing.
How Telagent works (Discover → Build → Care)
Telagent is a problem-solver and an implementation partner. We are not a law firm, not a legal-advice provider, and not a SaaS vendor. The firm keeps the legal work. We put a system around the operations that sit beside it.
Discover
A no-cost discovery conversation. We map the operational bottleneck and agree scope, outcomes, and price. Nothing is built in that conversation.
Build
Fixed-price systems and workflow projects after discovery. The proposal names the intake, document chase, and handoff work. No work proceeds until the firm is happy with the proposal.
Care
Retainers and ongoing support when the firm wants them. We do not publish a retainer dollar amount. Hourly advisory is from $150 + GST/hr.
Law firm workflow systems without another platform
LEAP, Smokeball, Actionstep, Clio, and the other practice-management products belong to the firm. Telagent is not a competing legal platform, and we do not ask anyone to leave a system that already fits. The law firm workflow systems NSW practices already pay for are usually enough, once the handoff between them is named.
The work is stack-agnostic. We connect the tools the firm already uses. Where an integration is a safe fit for an administrative handoff — including n8n, when it is the honest tool — we use it. Where the fix is a named owner and a tighter reminder, we say so and leave the extra tool out. Connecting those tools is legal practice systems integration Australia practices can keep after we leave: status, owner, and exception move with the work, including when people are not in the same office.
Professional boundary, stated plainly: Telagent does not provide legal advice, does not make legal decisions, and does not replace the firm’s lawyers.
Central Coast + Australia
Primary geography is the Central Coast NSW — the Gosford, Erina, and Wyong corridor, and the surrounds. Secondary is Australia-wide remote delivery. A Central Coast conversation with a remote build is a normal way to work. Local presence and remote delivery are both fine.
We do not imply an office, a street address, or a phone number that has not been confirmed. If you want an automation consultant for law firms Central Coast practices can brief directly, start with discovery. If the firm is elsewhere in Australia, the same conversation works without a site visit.
What engagement looks like
- Discovery conversation, at no cost, with the practice principal, partner, or practice manager
- Written proposal: scope, outcomes, and price
- Fixed-price project and/or retainer only after the firm accepts the proposal
No work proceeds until the firm is happy with the proposal.
Common questions
What does a systems consultant do for a law firm?
We find where fee-earner time is lost to intake, missing documents, status chasing, and handoffs nobody can see. Then we design the administrative follow-up so that work has an owner and a next step. The firm keeps the legal work. We wire the operations around it.
Can you work with our existing practice-management and document tools?
Yes. We do not replace practice management, the document store, email, or billing unless a change is clearly in the firm’s interest — and then it is the firm’s decision. The default is to connect what you already use.
Can you automate matter intake without automating legal decisions?
Yes. Intake automation here means a consistent path, an owner, and a reminder when material is missing. It does not mean automated legal judgement, conflict decisions, legal triage, or advice.
Are you a law firm or do you give legal advice?
No. Telagent is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. We improve administrative systems. The firm remains responsible for legal work and advice.
Do you work only on the Central Coast?
Central Coast NSW is home base. We also deliver across Australia remotely. A site visit is not required for firms elsewhere in Australia.
How is pricing structured?
Discovery is no-cost. Projects are fixed-price after a written proposal. Care is a retainer when the firm wants ongoing support; we do not publish a retainer figure. When advisory time is hourly, it starts at $150 + GST per hour.
Ready to put an owner on intake?
Request a discovery. We will look at where matters stall between arrival and the next fee-earner, and whether a fixed project or a Care retainer is the right next step.
